Camille hit Pass Christian, MS in 1969. Katrina hit Mississippi in 2005. The beach is 32 (check the #) miles long here. We have been ranked as the worst state to live in...7 years running. We have a river! We give the most to charities (out of any other state) based on our low incomes. Magnolia state. We have lots of athletes and musicians and famous people...Elvis Presley, Oprah, 3 doors down, Afroman, the Peytons (football), Brett Farve, Jimmy Buffet, Jerry Rice, BB King, William Faulkner, John Grisham, Lance Bass, etc....
Most of all...we proved ourselves to the rest of the United States when we didn't fall after Katrina and stuck together!

Muddy Waters, one of the best bluesmen EVER, was born in Rolling Fork, Mississippi. Much of today's blues originated around the MIssissippi Delta. The music is STILL going strong.
