If you're using Internet Exporer, click 'Tools' on the menu bar, then select 'Internet Options' from the dropdown. On the 'General' tab, click the 'Clear History' button. It is also a good idea to erase your cookies and temporary cache if you don't want to leave trace of where you've been surfing. You do that by clicking the 'Delete cookies' and 'Delete Files' buttons. On the popup for the latter, check 'Delete all offline content' before you press the 'OK' button.

While you're there, you may set the 'Days to keep pages in history' to zero, so you won't have a history of visited pages the next day.

It may also be a good idea to erase your recent documents, as it will list (and link) files you have opened on and/or saved from the internet. Click the 'Start' button, then rightclick on the lower coloured bar (where the 'Log off' and Turn off' buttons are) and select 'Properties'. On the 'Start Menu' tab, click the 'Customize' button. Select the 'Advanced' tab and click the 'Clear List' button in the 'Recent Documents' section. You can also uncheck 'List my most recently opened documents' to disable this feature.

Clean up, or delete?

Clean up: Click on the History button (represented as a sun dial) or go to View>Explorer Bar>History and delete things that reflect badly upon you.

Delete: Tools>Internet Options now just delete all of your history at once.

Go to tools at the top right of your screen. Click it. Then go to internet options. Open that. Then on temporary internet files click on delete cookies, then click on delete files. Check the box that says delete all offline content. Then click on Okay to clear the history. Doing this regularly will help your computer run faster.

To clean up your Internet history, you need the latest version of McAfee Internet Security Software. It has everything including McAfee QuickClean. McAfee QuickClean cleans up your Internet history completely.

Click the history and just use the delete button. But don't forget to delete your cookies. They can catch you with them in the end. right click the start bar and click explor. It should be right under the user information tab, delete all of your internet cookies, all the time. you have no use for them.
