As far as I know, New Super Mario Bros. is *only* on the DS anyway...

No, you can't save in the middle of the "missions." You can only save after you've defeated a castle, as I recall. However, you CAN just close your DS, this puts the system in "sleep" mode. When you open it back up, you will still be at precisely the same place as when you closed it.

Yes, this game is only made for the DS. Once you have beaten the whole game you will be able to save your progress in the the middle of a game. Until then, no you can't save until you beat a castle, or by going to those mushroom houses.

No there isnt bcuz there didnt have memory card for them...unless you are playing it for play station,game cub,any of the newer systems you can

I doubt it if you are talking about the DS, but if you use an emulator to play, you can.

no but you can pause it and then turn off the TV
