i am 12 years old, and i did some acting classes in about 3rd or 4th grade. i think 4th.
i no this is a stupid question but , how can i become an actress and how do i findan agent.
(i mainly want to be on kids shows like on disney channel and nickelodeon.)

In order to persue acting as a career when you are young, your parents have to be willing to devote plenty of time, attention, and money to taking you to New York or Los Angeles for auditions and meetings with casting people and agents/managers.
For most, this is a stop right there.
If you really want to go after it, and are dedicated enough, here is my suggestion:
Join the drama club in your school if it has one, or get involved in as many school plays as possible.
When you get a little older, take some acting classes at a community college or center in your area.
Do that for a while, and when you have honed your craft, make the jump to LA or NY. Just know that it is an incredibly difficult path (take it from me!!)
If there are any other careers you would consider, I would persue those instead! But if you absolutely MUST act, then do it!!

It's going to be general, but true. You follow your dreams and do whatever it takes. Be different. Create your own style. Don't copy. Don't take the average man's path, lest you be rejected as though the average man. Some might say think, believe, and act as though you already are one. Find a Successful mentor and never give up. You'll need to find someone in the business to support you as leverage. Danity Kane has done this through P. Diddy. You need drive, and motivation. People need to see your want, you can never give up. And if you look right, and all terms are correct, and they have faith in you, you'll get there.

I have always heard most of the celebs. started out in the micky mouse club so maybe u could think about joining that to get you started. Maybe you could audition for a few things.

start acting at local theaters, look some childrens theaters up online and ask around.
John Casablanca is an ok place to try but it is very costly.

start by taking drama classes. prefferably at school, theyre free. then get into a local theatre group. as for an agent, im sure you could find one online.

start acting in school plays. audition for community theatre in your area. audition for anything you can find. start making your own videos and put them on youtube and see if people are interested.
