Before is prefereable, you stomach, like everything else, uses your bodies resources to process food and if you are using every ounce of energy on the treadmill - it tends not to work quite as well! It can also speed up your metabolism, which is why a large meal straight after a ten mile run will probably go right through you and out the other end!
That said - working out when you have not eaten for a long time can make you light headed, so apply some sense!

Before, your parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest) kicks in after lunch and your body will be harder to get motivated, whereas if your a little on the starved side, your sympathetic nervous system (fright or flight) should be activated and you should be less groggy. I've actually found this to be true in general with run times for myself. I tend to run faster when hungry and when I've eaten within the last hour or two, I'm slower and tend to get more muscular cramps.

I think after lunch is better because you would have the energy to, but you should wait at least half an hour before you exercise.

Definitely before...however if you are playing sports close to a meal time, consider having a single banana or other energy giving fruit an hour before you play. This will just give you that little "boost" that you'll probably need. Also drink lots and lots of water.

I actually have that very same challenge today, I have gym actual after lunch. i recommend no longer ingesting until eventually eventually your like crammed, by the indisputable fact that receives you ill. as long as you dont over eat you'd be wonderful. yet if you're extremely worried about it ingesting healthful is your most secure wager if you're extremely worried.

Before. But wait about a half hour before you eat. It will give your body time to settle down from the exercise.

I would think before. That way you work up a good appetite and don't risk losing your lunch.

I always go before I eat because if I went after, I would get stitches in my side.

Have a little snack or a few bites a little while before, then finish it after your workout.
