i want your opinion generally and in particular situations
e.g. you are a sixteen year old that still goes to school has no job, the father dissapers and the parents are not willing to help
you get pregnant after getting raped
you are extremely poor and already have 5 children whom you can barely feed

I think that it is the easiest thing to say that abortion is no good but if there arent the proper conditions for a baby to grow up then isnt it worst and more irresponsible to give birth to the baby?

I think it is a very personal decision, regardless of the situation. No one gets an abortion because it's fun. Whatever brought a woman to make the decision to terminate a pregnancy is her decision. End of story. The government, religious fanatics, etc. need to butt out. There are enough unwanted and neglected kids in this world. Let's not bring more. If a woman knows she isn't up to the challenge of being a parent, then she should be able to make that choice. She's the one who will have to live with it, afterall. What we should be doing is making birth control more accessable and educating our young women about taking back their sexuality and making the men accountable for unwanted pregnancies, too. No woman gets pregnant without help.

I'm so sick of people so quickly jumping to the option of adoption after a rape. Why should a women have to carry this unwanted thing that was created from a horrible crime why should she have to?! If a women gets raped and is emotionally able to keep the kid fine, if the women can go through 9 months of carrying something conceived of rape and then give it up for adoption fine, but if a women wants to have an abortion people need to respect that too.

Now to answer your question; if I was 16, had 5 kids already and got pregnant after being raped I would take the morning after pill. Yes, it is more irresponsible to give birth to something that you can't take care of.

I don't agree with abortion, it makes me so angry... My oldest son died in a car accident. I would give anything to have him back, my husband and I have been trying for four years to have a baby and cannot, the adoption list is 7years to get a baby because all these women are aborting there babies... I personally think it's selfish if you look at the facts... Your baby could be placed in a loving home with loving parents who WANT them!!! but who am I to say anything because that's between you and God
P.S sorry if I made anyone mad but it is just my opinion because of unfortunate circumstance... before all this I didn't care I thought it should be up to the person's involved mostly the woman (it's her ultimate choice & it's her body after all is said and done)

Abortions are not necessary; excluding rape and such of course

All women can easily track their cycles and know when the few days a months pregnancy can occur. If women seek out more education on their bodies they'd know how it works and would know how to plan or not to plan for pregnancy.

That is the ideal. But in the real world, people want what they want when they want it regardless of the consequences. People don't want to be responsible for their actions and want to always take the easy way out of things.

I am for abortion. It is a womans Body it is her Choice. I do not agree with it being used a method of Birth control though.

Being raped is a good reason to have a abortion. Age to me does not matter , but yes in alot of conditions there is valad reason to have a abortion.

Sorry, but I'm against it all the way; only exception would be if the mother was in danger.

Even when there is rape or incest, it's not the baby's fault. Why should the baby have to suffer the consequences?

I believe that life begins at conception. It is my belief only, so please don't attack it. There is no proof that it does or does not think or hear.

If you can't take care of a baby, or you don't want it, give him or her up for adoption.

God has a plan for EVERYBODY..........abortion is not the answer EVER, in my opinion. There are plenty of people on stand by to adopt a child that has been no "planned for". As for mohter of the other 5 kids this 16 year old has.......close your legs or take responsibility.

Thats why its a choice. Some people handle situations different fron others, I believe in choice, if you decide to go through with it thats your business, but you always have the option to adopt. Both are really difficult decisions but thats a choice people go through everyday.

personally I believe that abortion is the death of a child, however, I don't expect everyone to believe as I do nor do I want to force them to conform to my POV nor do I ever want the right wing nutjobs to outlaw abortion in cases of incest and rape, so I am pro choice...

abortion for minors is a more touchy subject...I'm not sure where I stand on the topic yet
