While Giles really was a crack up, when he wanted to be, I found Spike had an even better sense of humor. The writer, whose name is escaping me right at the moment lol, had a great sense of the characters and how they should be. Spike had some major issues, but was always fascinating to me whenever he was around, because you never knew what path he was going to take. Even when he went insane, he was a great character. Of course Xander was good, but kind of turned into a jerk. Angel just got to be monotonous..always depressed, which of course was part of the character, but it wasn't really going anywhere. Willow probably experienced more growth than even Buffy did, personality wise, and for me runs a close 2nd to Spike, but her lines sometimes were a bit too cheesy.
I think what did it for me really was Spike going so overboard on Buffy, that he created the Buffy-bot. It made me think ...just what kind of idiotic things would a vampire do with eternity? Well..there you go lol.

Angel for looks, but character wise I liked Giles and Wesley just because they were the ones that were like the protectors in the beginning and then Buffy came into her own where she was protecting people. They showed what a Watcher should be in a person.
I liked Faith when she guest starred on Angel a couple times.
But all characters brought something special to the show (s) (I'm counting Angel in this too because there were some crossovers in the beginning.)

Oh my god I have too many lol. The Mayor. Ahh he change into tremendous. Of significant characters, i'd have so say season 4 Spike. without the soul, with the chip, earlier he fell for Buffy. I also, after observing the sequence for roughly the fourth time, am beginning to really be prepared on Giles. also, more beneficial note, my least well-liked characters are Kennedy & Robin timber. I continually loved first light and Riley grew on me after observing it some circumstances. i love him with Buffy more beneficial than Angel. also, in case you watch it, my favorites on Angel are Lorne & Wesley.

I loved that show -- it was a great series. I was partial to Giles and loved the Buffy & Angel relationship. Hated Riley!

god and pick a favorite star in the skies?
ok if I have too.....
Riely made me squirm in the nice "spank me" way
Spike was the most honest creature I've ever seen anywhere
Angel got to me after a while...."yeah yeah, I get it......you're a tourtured soul, you did bad.....and?"
Anya was funny
Willow was cute
Faith was hot and cool at the same time
Dawn was annoying
Buffy was the hero
Giles the eternal "father figure"
Wes the "head-boy"((yeah I giggled at that one too))
Cordy was only good when she went to LA
Joyce pissed me off more than anybody......
but....
Xander.
I would have to say my favorite was Xander. Nobody tried harder than him. And him with no powers other than to listen. The eternal dork and geek....he was what they stood for. Honest and "pure". He was what they defended. The icon of the "normal guy." And no matter the circumstance he stood by Buffy's and Willow's side through everything.

I liked the first vampire guy that was on the original Buffy the Vampire series; he was hot! He's the one that Buffy fell in love with.

I like Spike because he could be such a jackass, but didn't really pretend to be anyone else. I also liked Anya because she said what was on her mind whether it was appropriate or not. I found that Willow could be a tad whiny at times and Xander, well never had an opinion about him either way.

Definitely Giles, because his comic timing is excellent.
Possibly Anya, because she's the prettiest and the whole "bunny thing" makes me laugh out loud.

It's so hard to choose, but at the moment i'd say xander because he's sensitive (especially where he pulls Willow back from the brink of destoying the world),funny and gorgeous.
