I am a child of the fifties and that rule was long before I was born and it sticks with you like glue, believe me. It's like some catastrophe will happen if you wear white after Labor Day. So, I don't tempt fate. So, on to the Fall colors, folks!

This fashion rule is eons old. Wear white anytime you want to. If anyone says something - just tell them "don't look!"
