If you have not been paid for work previously done, then the employer is obligated to compensate you....You will need some type of proof though, otherwise, it's your words against theirs. Hopefully, you kept your check stubs and your proof will be in the time gaps between pay.

Yes you are entitled to wages earned up to your termination. Also any vacation pay you may have accumulated. This is to be payed to you on the next scheduled pay date and not immediately upon termination.
