how horrible. does the old lady have a boyfriend? what a cow.
i believe you feel yourself left alone, and this has a very negative influence on your self respect. i am sorry to hear what she did to you, as she is the only person in the world"suppossed" to help you in life.
first donot worry.
there are help centers for women in need. is there any hotline, where you can call for a center. there must be in every us-state a center to help women in need.
do you have children? maybe they can stay in help families, till you ' ve got a well paid new job and an appartment.
remember, this does not happen only to you. it happend to me too.
you are 40. you should not have let it come to this age, that you were dependant on your mother, i ask you why????????
you are old enough to know what is right and wrong, in your own believe system, what is it that makes you feel that you can not handel difficult situtaions?
you have that potential, people knowlege and else, so why not use it? do you have any close friend, that is willing to help? ask all the people you know for a job or a place to live, till you are on your own feet.
but donot stay on their help, because you are the only person in the world who can help yourself, you are not alone.

You should not have been living their in the 1st place.

You are 40 & live with your mother why?

If you ran into a bad spot & needed help for a few months ya maybe. You don't say how long you been their or why or why she kicked you out.

If you have a job, you probably have enough to buy an apartment. If you don't, ask your mom if you can stay in her house long enough to get a job. Yahoo Hotjobs! has different options. If you have a college degree, mention that. Once you have an apartment, you'll have to buy food and other necessities. And be sure to thank your mom for housing you until you were 40!

It kinda sounds like she needed to do that a long time ago! Why are you still living at home? At your age you should be living a life of your own, on your own!
