If so how often do you drink, have you gotten pregnant on the pill, and how long have you been on the pill. Thanks.

I currently drink about two glasses of wine each night... sometimes more... I've got seven kids and have gotten pregnant on many things, but never while on the pill :)
Been using the pill on and off for about 25 years (I'm 46 and not menopausal yet)
To the best of my knowledge, the only way drinking could inhibit the effectiveness of the pill would be if you drank too much and forgot to take it... or vomited after taking it.

I have the occasional drink (like 2 or 3 a week at best).
I've been on the pill off & on since I was 18 - most recently for the past 3 years. Never had a pregnancy scare of any sort.

I've been on the pill on and off for nearly 20 years. When I was younger (16-21) I drank quite a bit and never got pregnant on it. Since then I drink very moderately and still have never gotten pregnant on it. Unless you were too drunk to remember to take your pill or you were vomiting it up before it got into your bloodstream, I don't think drinking would change its effectiveness.
I've mostly been on Norinyl or one of its generic equivalents.

I am using the Nuva Ring and I have been on it for 5 months and I drink on it all the time. No i have never gotten pregant while using birth control. As long as you keep taking the pill you should be fine regardless what else you put into your body.

i have been on the pill sence i was 18 and now 22 i drink while i'm on the pill and for a few months thats all i did was drink and party//no baby yet...just have to make sure that you take your pill everyday i took mine at nite and it wasnt at the same time either and i was haveing my fun let me tell you

I was drinking almost every weekend, however I have slowed it down now, I have been on them for about 3 and a half years, and have not gotten pregnant yet.
