Okay, you lost me on some of these, but I'll help with what I can.
1. You see how many times the number on bottom or the seconf number goes into the first number.
2.< means the second number is larger than the first and > means the first number is larger. Think of the < and > as an alligator that is hungery. (It's mouth is always open to the biggest amount.)
6. () or {} complete the math inside those before you do the other things in the equation.
7.For subtraction, you take away the amount after the - from the number in front of it.
8. Rising a number to the second power means you times that number by itself.
9. Third power and so forth just means you times the number by itself that many times.
11. Both expressions are equal. (The right side of the = sign is equal to the left side.)
15. Multiply two items together.
