simply because they perceive you as a threat or because they previously forced you into a confrontation that you won? If they attempt to wreck your professional reputation, or write lies about you, when do you ignore it, and when you you fight back? Should you just continually turn the other cheek and let people believe lies about you, or is there a point where you should sue?

Pray....

Be receptive of God's answer, seek guidance from fellow Christians and follow through.

It may be God's plan to destroy this life for you to build a new one for you, be receptive. It may be God's plan to destroy this person in their attacks on you. Be receptive.

It may be God's plan that people around you see the display of your Christian faith in your dealing with the situation and they in turn are brought to Christ.

Have FAITH and PRAY, but do not let this person get to you, stick up for yourself and confront the peron in a nice christian way. If a person is worried then there may be some truth to something that was said- as far as taking it to legal matters, make sure you have proof of everything or else it will be like high school with the he said she said
be safe and stay blessed

The truth will be obvious eventually. If you acknowledge it, it will bring your credibility into question. Now, im not sure what actually was done or said, but if enough damage was done to warrant sueing, then maybe you should, and proving that in court might give you the visible truth you desire. But dont forget, malicious people are the type to retaliate against you, even though you did nothing wrong, they will hold spite for it. Stay on the honest path, and malicious people will hang themselves.

Do you believe that all things work together for the good of those who love God?

If you do, I have a secret for you. Your good is not your financial good, the good of your health, your safety and security in your job, not even your reputation.

God loves you and these things ARE good, but the good that God desires for you is so much deeper, so much more personal and eternal. If you're still with me then go to God and ask Him:

"What is the good that you have for me in this?" - I guarantee it will have something to do with your character and it will change your entire perspective on the matter.

it's important to defend your character - i'd say take them to court as needed... really depends on the person & situation as to the rest...
very soon though we will have aLOT more to worry about than that stuff.
suicide bombers are considered 'fundamentalists' in a religion that sometimes disowns them.

those who support intelligent design are considered 'religious extremists' when they might not even be agnostic.

and lately the government has been calling the islamics 'fundamentalists'
