i think Melbourne, but that's coz i live here
Lately someone did a study and found that Mel is the new Syd & with cheaper prices for houses, so here it's just as good if not better than Sydney, and you're more likely to spend less money for living!

most people think their own is the best. It depends on what you & your family are looking for re:- lifestyle; entertainment; schooling.
really any place is what you make it.
do you want fast-paced or laid-back?
entertainment laid on - or make your own?
kids to stay at home for tertiary education or dont mind them moving away?
BIG city ( Sydney;Mel) or somewhere smaller?
