Get a lawyer and take him to civil court

You would need a personal injury lawyer to take the case. The problem is they will not sue for assult (assult is making the threat of harm, battery is carrying out the threat). A normal case settles for 3 times your total medical bills (1/3 for the lawyer, 1/3 to pay them, & 1/3 to you). Of course as stated earlier you can win a case but that does not insure money. If he has none to give, you can garnish his wages (another court case & more time/money spent). The big question you must answer is what is it worth to you (not him).

First, talk to an attorney. This is a complex legal issue, and it's not something to try on your own.

That is a civil action that requires an attorney to represent you. In order to do this, you need a medical history and doctor(s) to support your claim. Now, if the person who assaulted you has assets or insurance, you should go ahead. However, if they have nothing, you can win and get a judgment that you may never collect on. Besides, you may have to pay your attorney out of your own pocket.

You take out a civil suit. keep in mind that if the ruling is found in your favor and the judge honors the ruling and there is no money the guy has or anything to sale...you may never see the money even though you win the case.
OJ Simpson was lost the civil case against him the jury awarded the family millions and they haven;t seen a penny yet.

You would go to a lawyer and file a civil suit. Remeber just because he was found guilty does not mean you will automactically win this case. Best of Luck.

Either get an attorney or file a grievance in civil claims court. I totally agree with BLUST R's answer. How much is it really worth to you?

BTW, the court of public opinion IRT O.J. needs to get over it. If they are so sure he did it then why don't these experts get him convicted? Until then respect the decisions of OUR court.
