Who says sentences should have more than 5 words in day to day conversations? Unless its a 'serious' period drama.
Mind you there are certain phrases that you can see coming a mile off.
Like "What's all that about?" Followed by catchup of plot etc.
Jast leaf it alraight? Theirs nuffink woung wif it.

I hate the way Sonia says 'nuffink' all the time. I think the scriptwriters do it on purpose.
I think you're pretty much right. Even long sentences are split up. I can imagine Peggy:
