It is normal for the movement to slow. Remember there isn't tha much room for the baby to move. Most doctors will let you go until you are about 5 centimeters dilated. Hang in there you should be ok. The longer the baby is in there the healthier it should be when iot comes out. Good luck and best wishes.

Normally you need to go into labor for the doctor to put you in the hospital and at least 4cm dilated. However, if your coming along fine according to your doctor, then don't worry about it. And yes it is normal for the movement of the baby to slow down after 37 weeks as it gets ready for the big day. I would have my bags packed and be ready to go as it sounds to me like your getting ready to have a baby any day now.

The baby will slow down but wont stop moving all together. If you dont feel any fetal movement then call your doctor asap. As for dialation, unfortunatly they wont put you in unless your a 4 or your water breaks. They will make you wait as long as needed especially if this is your first. I went 3 days overdue with my daughter and was induced because I was 4 cm.

Usually unless your water breaks or unless you are having really painful contractions (as long as you're having a normal pregnancy), the doctors will just tell you to walk. I'm paranoid about stuff, so I chose to walk around at the hospital, just in case something happened, I would be in good hands. But, most of the time, I think the pain starts at around 5-6 cm dialated. Every woman is different, though, just remember that, and congratulations.

Are you going to your weekly check ups? The doc should be checking your dilation. When your contractions are coming about 5 minutes apart, or your water breaks, I would check yourself into the hospital, to be on the safe side. They will let you know from there if you need to stay admitted. From what I can remember, my son did slow down a bit movement wise, because it gets a bit cramped in there! :)

usually you need to be 3cm or in active labor or you water has broke before they will admit you to the hospital. Movements should have slowed down but it you got a shaker and a mover like I did my lil one was active ALL through labor!
