yes, we will run out of oil and it will probably be in our lifetimes.

i'm sure that there are already oil substitutes but that we are not being told or offered them because of the money they can make from the oil.

At some point, yes. When we do run out of oil, the world economy is done for- unless we've converted to another energy source by then, like solar, wind, geothermal, nuclear (fission or fusion), or something more exotic. Hopefully, the current move towards solar cells, electric cars, etc. will continue.

There's plenty of oil in Texas and Alaska. It's just that nobody's bothered checking. Of course...The dip sticks are in Washington.

We would be using bio/vegetable/corn and other forms of oil.

We'll use of feet to pedal our cars like Fred Flinstone, then use two sticks to cool and get warm water. Hey, life will be cheaper!! : )
