There's always garbage and stuff whereever u go and some places smell. can't they clean up?

If I go to another state like Pennslyvania, it's nice and clean.

Brooklyn and New York are not dirty, it's the people that inhabit these places that are inconsiderate and untidy.

Why are rest stops and gas station restrooms the most filty in any state in the US???
As one has said, if you have a few friends over your house then compare it with a party of many people, what does the room look like afterwards?

many people are just plain selfish . they have no regard for anyone else or their property .
in California , they have a very funny commercial .......these two guys ring someones doorbell , when he opens the door , they empty a large bag of trash inside his home . he asks why .....?
they show him a video of himself throwing trash from the window of his car . they then point out ..........you live in California .......don't trash it ............
there are some really cool places to visit in Brooklyn , but many areas are smelly and dirty . people should take more pride in their communities !

pennsylvania has half as many people as nyc does. it gets hard to clean up when you have millions of people in one place

Not enough white people in that area LOL. When you turn over the city to others, you turn over the city to their standars of living too.
