if you live in UK its because the country never recovered financially from two world wars, We still haven't learnt the lesson and are currently involved in expensive foreign policy that we cannot afford.

Everything cost fcuking 33 cent, then with the $4.50 VAT thats outrageous! Something cost $400, I pay $1200 for it!

You can claim up to 9 dependents on your return. That way, they won't take any taxes out of your check. But, come April 15th, you're gonna have to pay them in full.
It's best to claim zero dependents so they send YOU a check at the end of the year.
Yeah, taxes suck...but that's the rent you pay for living in this great country of ours.

Someone has to pay for the war that none of us wanted!
Someone has to pay for the bombs and bullets that are killing all the Iraqis that we saved from Saddam!
Someone has to pay for all the extra anti terrorism measures that only became necessary because we, sorry, our leaders decided to get involved in a war on terror.
Someone has to pay for all those administrators that are trying to work out why the health service is so inefficient!

because the folks that were voted into office by the people who voted then represented those folks and voted for those taxes.
probably because the constitutents wanted things like roads, bridges, student loans, stoplights, the social security agency, air traffic controllers and things like that. the way to change this is through the political system....try becoming libertarian...

My guess is you are single, work full time and have no children-like me. We really get stuck paying a lot of tax with no deductions.
