I understand that people before they become a Christian maybe. And maybe even someone who is struggling with it can be a Christian. But what about those who simply deny what they are doing is wrong. God did say he would allow their hearts to be hardened to their sins in Romans 1 but.......If someone really loved Jesus Christ would they not feel the pull. It is said that someone who truly knows Jesus Christ knows his truths when they hear it. If he is your Father you will know his words of course. Then how when some are presented with the truth do not hear. "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. BE NOT DECEIVED:(he's actually warning u there) neither fornicators nor idolators nor adulterers nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind"1Corinthians 6;9. That is the New Testament which Christians are only bound by the laws of the New Testament so no silly comparisons from Leviticus please Lev is Old Testament.

I do not accept your puritanical fundamentalist view of Christianity. Your version of Christianity does not represent what God really teaches.

yeah nice and sweet, but sadly these are not god's words but doctrines that were VOTED. Maybe not the particular ones but how can you consider something to be god's writings since they have been voted and re-written over and over again?
And why do you say 'can be a Christian'? All the bigots and haters and racists out there consider themselves Christian. Even the KKK are Christian, and they consider themselves Christian too and they are considered Christians by the public. I cannot understand this constant attack on homosexuals as if it was the worst thing in the world. How about murderers who magically turned to god? how do can they be Christians?
Sorry but I dont buy your crap. You believe in a war mongering full of hate religion and it is you who will burn in hell if it really exists because despite the fact that you are into religion you cant open your eyes while it is there showing you the right path. And the right path is not JUDGING everyone else around you. Please cast the first stone if you dare.

Some people believe that the word of Jesus Christ trumps the word of Paul. Romans and Corinthians are Paul.

In Matthew 22 it says "37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[d] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[e] 40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”

So gay people believe that if they love God and they love they neighbor, the rest is just window dressing. As long as they obey the word of JESUS CHRIST, the man who was the SON OF GOD, it is not so important they they follow the word of one of his flunkies (Paul), no matter how important said flunky likes to think he was.

To be a Christian, all you need to do is believe in Christ.

That is very clearly spelled out in the most famously quoted passage of the Bible.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Gay people are just as capable of doing this as any other people.

Want to argue about it?
Take it up with the author, not me.
I'm taking his word over yours.

Look in your heart. Know that being gay is just one small part of who you are. Have faith that you will be judged by your heart. According to Canon Law there are many different layers of Heaven and many different levels. Being gay will not exclude you from Heaven.

Remember the lessons of the bible were written at a time when Christianity was a fledgling religion attempting to convert the heathen. So the lessons were more like 'stretch goals'. (I.E. - you tell the Corinthians to not have sex at all then maybe they will at least stop raping thier own daughters, which at the time was a HUGE problem)...

I am gay and Christian. I believe in GOD not that silly little book known as the bible.

In fact I believe most Christians have begun to worship their bible instead of their God. That dumb book has been translated into so many different languages FROM a translation to begin with - there is no way the original text is intact. And even then it was was said to the be the INSPIRED word of God, not the actual word of God. And the bible thumpers cannot even accurately explain it's inconsistencies or its obvious flaws.

Bible thumping Christians are the ostriches of religion - they bury their head in that book and see nothing else around them.

And I agree gays are not going to heaven - neither are straights - we leave sexuality here on Earth as we go to heaven. There will be people in Heaven who were gay on Earth and there will be people in Hell who thought they were Christian.

It would greatly depend upon how you defined the word gay? You mentioned being pulled. We are a pulled daily in one direction or another. All have sin and fallen short of the glory of God; there are none righteous, no not one. So in essence a person could be sexually attracted to the same gender and love Jesus as Lord and Savior; as much as any other person who faces challenges that the Bible speaks against. Being a G0YZ, is biblical! Learn more by visiting http://g0yz.org (that's with a zero; not O).

Sweetness, I'd have no problem with Corinthians had Jesus been saying it, but it was Paul not Jesus. Paul really didn't like marriage but it was "better to wed that to burn" (I beleive is the correct quote) and Paul didn't like women at all.
Let people make their own choices and leave God out of it. Too many mean things have been done in the name of the Divine than have been kind things.
Please, just be kind to your fellow creatures and keep your faith to yourself. Blessings on you.

I don't see why this is the big sin that is always pointed out. Isn't it also a sin to have sex out of wedlock? I'm pretty sure excuse me I KNOW FOR A FACT that there are many many people that call themselves Christians go to church religiously but are very promiscuous day to day. So I don't get your question. So blah.

hmmmm thank you. I prefer my bible it has not been as adulterated as yours obviously has. Young's literal translation check it out if you feel inclined.
Nothing I do in my g0y relationship is evil and in fact I have had God affirm to me that my relationship with my g0y partner is a blessed covenant. Our covenant is blessed by God even if the state doesn't recognize it. So I thank you for you time and energy but I believe God more than I believe you.

Oh and by the way nothing conflicted about my relationships or me personally. Never been happier.
