Because its an addictive thing that allows you to see just what kind of questions are out there. To see if people think the same way if you do, to see just how incredibly stupid people can get. Because it provides something different to look at on a daily basis, should you be sucked into that particular black hole. And finaly because you are being asked to give your opinion on anything and everything, to freely share what knowledge you have collected through out the years. It part of human nature to be a busy body, its curiosity, and this is one place where curiosity doesn't kill you lol.

When you figure it out, let me know. I find myself coming to this silly thing to answer questions all the time. It's silly. Addictive even. Everytime I get a notice that my response was picked as the best answer it's like a thrill. Really need to just delete the thing. I spend too much time answering questions.

Because you want to answer the questions, or don't have anything to do at home, or you want to understand what other people think about your questions. At least these are some of the questions.

I think its the point and the competition to get as much points as you can,maybe helping others too,finding out new stuff,to see what others wonder about,and how do others think about certain issues!
