When the rapture of the church takes place, the earth will have 7 years left, before Jesus returns.

This 7 year period starts "like a thief in the night", so it can happen at anytime, when no one is looking for it. It could happen tonight, or in 100 years- who knows. Jesus said that even He didn't know, and the angels in Heaven don't know either,- when He would be coming back.

Since Jesus walked the earth, the earth's rotation has slowed somewhat, (notice that during the tribulation, the days are shortened by a third, which means that our rotation will be cranked up to 16 hours, instead of our normal 24- at the time of creation, I suspect our days were 16 hour days)- and the calendar has changed several times, so no one knows when Jesus will come back.

Also, in the book of Daniel, the times are given from when the "Prince is cut off"- or killed. So since Jesus lived for 33 years, that throws off the calculations by that long. But Jesus Himself said that when the Antichrist walks into the Temple and proclaims to be God, then the earth has 3 1/2 years left. ( the unclean thing stands where he ought not) So people living on the earth at that time, will be able to set their watches by that.

Apparently, the time of Jesus' return is classified top secret, even in Heaven. There IS a war there. That information would benefit God's enemies, and also cause us to "relax", and put off doing what we should do- which is, to clean up our lives and make important decisions about our futures.--(accepting Jesus' sacrifice)

Most probably the people who even in all the scientific evidence and speculation that God does not exist, still believe in Him and His judgment and are true believers.
