hi im from st.albans,if you have no kids and over 16 then you have a long time,about 5 years unless you have any help from people for disability ect.if you have children then you will have temp accomadation for 9 or 10 months then get given a home.its not easy to get a house without any special requirment.hope this helps

Council waiting list times depends on your situation. Are you homeless? Single parent? Have children? The council awards points and this determines your priority and how quickly you get a property

I suppose it would be the same with any councils. I was on the waiting list years ago for many years before i had one.....some lists i suppose will be longer than others.....
