When you were a child, did your parents ever buy you a Buddy and me doll? They are dolls that are like little kids. I have seen the commercial where the kids are pushing these dolls in a wagon.
I never had a Buddy and me doll but that's ok I won't feel bad I never had one before.

Hello. The Playskool 1986 My Buddy Doll is a large 23" doll with a large vinyl head and stuffed body. The intent for the Buddy series of dolls
was to create a friend for a lonely child. This would be the child's special friend as the doll was originally large and the clothes could be changed. Some of the dolls have open and closed eyes and others have painted eyes. The rooted hair was blond, black, red, brown, short and long, and white, black and brown dolls. There are many My Buddy Dolls for sale on Ebay all the time. The doll collectors like the My Buddy Dolls with the open and closed eyes because they are rare these days.Today there are many dolls like My Buddy Doll such as my Sister,my brother my twin, and the American Girl child look a like. And Even some of the Cabbage Patch dolls were very large for a playmate.Dolls will always be around because children love to nurture and they need to love.

No I never had one, but I do remember them. I still have that song stuck in my head after all these years.
My buddy,
My buddy,
where ever he goes, I go,
My buddy,
My buddy,
MY buddy and me.
I think it was suppose to be the boy's equivalent of cabbage patch dolls.
Buddy and Me dolls kind of creeped me out. I never did want one.
I always wanted a strawberry shortcake doll. I guess I could get one now since they are back out, but I miss the frilly 80s dress.
Thanks for the childhood review :-)
Although that song is going to be stuck in my head all day..........

I had the version for girls, the 'Kid Sister'. I think the boy versions were simply called 'My Buddy'. Yeah, they were hugely popular. I took my Kid Sister everywhere, especially to the park. She fit perfectly into the baby swing.

These dolls are were the basis for the idea of 'Chucky' in the 'Child's Play' movies.

No. The doll reminds me of Chucky. I'll be your friend until the end. To me that was dangerously close of being a little gay for a boy to have a doll.

Yes, I do. I have a blonde haired boy doll and a brown haired boy doll and also a blonde haired my sister doll. My granddaughter thinks that the brown haired doll looks like Chuckie.

I had a Kid Sister. There was Kid Sister and My Buddy. Then my brother stole it and cut all its hair off, so it looked more like Chucky than anything else.
