Interesting concept there, my child, but no, I'm going to continue to be an omnivore. It's in my nature and I happen to like raw meat...do you know how hard it is to find a place where they'll let Otters cook?

Slight flaw in your agrument 'all men are created equal' - the term 'men' being used by humans (the constitution being a human production) to denote a male individual of their own species - not any other species.

If the gods hadn't wanted us to eat meat they wouldn't have made animals out of the stuff!

How do you stop a carnivore from eating meat?? how do you propose that we feed all the carnivorous animals that cannot subsist on plant matter alone?? What you are saying is that all species would eb banned from eating meat and all creatures have a right not to be eaten... This is untrue and impossible... all creatures have a WILL to avoid being eaten and all creatures have a chance to escape death using thier survival skills, but by the same token all creatures have a right to eat what they are designed to eat, and many animals are designed to eat meat.... I dont think eating meat should be banned, but I do think human torture and abuse of animals we do eat should be banned.... there is no need to kill animals cruelly like we do and we should not be slaughtering animals like we do... it is only unfair because they have no chance of escape or succour. Animals eating animals in the wild is NOT cruel because thier prey has a chance to escape.

It does not say that animals are equal to men!
Outlawing the eating of meat will never happen.
Give me a big plate of venison, squirrel, rabbit, snake, beef, pork or chicken any day!

Just because you eat leaves everyday doesn't give you the right to outlawed eating meat. Vegetarians are a bunch of confused idiots that don't know whats best and good for their bodies. Don't try and justify it.

It is a great debate topic, with many factors and facts on both sides.
Although I do not agree that animals are equal to human I do agree that it is no excuse to torture them! or raise them just to kill them and poison them with chemicals so they taste good.
But I have to admit it, I eat meat and passionately love it!
But I do wish It was outlawed, we don't need it.
As I raise my kids I try to give them those other things they can equally be nutrition by and try to slack up on the meat myself but for me it's hard!

I think your rational is lacking. By using "man" the authors are saved from saying "every human".
If you are to ban eating meat, then you have to ban everything that is bad for the earth.
Get rid of your car and all trucks. How would you get anything? The cost of everything that you buy wouls skyrocket. Get rid of all things that pruduce any amount of pollution during manufacturing. Well, that means getting rid of almost everything you own, inculding your computer. Get rid of everything that takes power. I could go on and on.

Interesting point, but ever since our species has walked the earth we have been omnivores not herbivores. Our teeth are a clue. We are meant to eat meat. If you don’t' want to then kudos, but don't force your ideas on people. It's not cool.

No, I do not agree yes I know almost all animals we eat are inhumanly slaugtered and treated ( my cousins and aunt are strict vegetarians ) however I ejoy eating it, yes the animals should be cared for and treated better however not all companies mass kil and inhumanely treat all their animals. It is up to the consumer who they will support giant corporatioons who kill, waste and misstreat animals or other companies/private farmers who take care of and humanely kill thier animals for consumption.

the may be male, but they are not men. Animals are not equal to us. I believe my intelligence far surpasses that of my hamburger. Or a cow.
