I've already been to the local homeless shelter twice, and they've rejected me this time because I've been branded as a "troublemaker". Any help would be VASTLY appreciated. I'm living out of my car.

There is a state housing authority in addition to the federal housing authority (HUD). I would start by looking up the state housing authority in the phone book. Before i tried the feds.

Try a local church or one of the missions around town. Also Catholic churches tend to help those in need all you have to do is ask. I hope you will find all that you need, and hope things will be better for you soon. Take Care. Also check into social programs around the state and town. You might be able to find assistance with employment and a place to live as well as money for food and utilities.
