Are there any places in Arkansas that teach you hip hop, BUT they have private lessons?

Call local dance studios and talk to dance instrutors at colleges. Most times the teachers are willing to teach private lessons to people that ask about it. You may have to pay a little more, but if you want privacy the nthat is the way to go. If you dance with others though, it will allow you to be comfortable when it come stime to show your moves to other people...

Save your money, skip the hip hop dance class. Hip hop dance can't really be taught. It's more of a cultural experience. In class, you'll learn the sequence of a step, or choreography of a video, or the body mechanics involved.. but nothing you learn in class will give you the rhythm and attitude necessary in hip hop dance. An example would be the tv show 'So You Think You Can Dance'. There were many dancers who were given hip hop choreography and couldn't pull it off. They had the sequence of the choreography down but nothing more. Hip hop doesn't come in a can. It can't be bought.
If you wanna learn how to do hip hop, watch hip hop videos and how the dancers dance. Watch Soul Train. When a song comes on that you like.. just start dancing.. try to imitate what the dancers are doing.

It depends on where you live. Call the local studios. Lots of times, even if they don't list it, an instructor might be trained in hip hop, and willing to teach private lessons for extra cash. If you can't find a studio, try a cheer place, or even a local college campus. If you're near LR, UALR has a good dance program, and might have students available to instruct you.
I taught dance while I was going to college, and couldn't get enough of a draw in my area for a clogging class (my secret love), but I had a student or two who were interested in privates, and it earned me some spending money for the weekends. :)

actually i give dancing lessons and i live about 45mins from ark.

i dunno.. but dont be scurred.. just do it babygirl.. move your body to the beat.. just go out a few times and watch ppl.. then just do it..
