Your government would love that/Not. The only reason they can pretend everything is OK is because China is making everything for slave wages and you're paying peanuts for stuff. This can carry on as long as your line of credit holds, impose reciprocal trade agreements and it's time to pay up now, economic depression.

Your first part sounds good in principle, but how do you put it into practice.
As far as the exercising your right to only buy US made goods. There is no law that says you can't buy US made goods. Do you really want to go fascist and dictate when, where, and how much you pay for something?

Can you say 'NAFTA'? Go ahead - nobody's stopping you from buying US products made in the US - if you can find any. For me, I like to buy all Canadian made products. The quality is better and I don't get sucked into paying more because of the exchange.

You want the government to enforce anti-capitalist practices, by denying companies and individuals the right to engage in a free market.
One small step for equal trade, one giant leap away from capitalism.

That would seem to be fair, but not profitable in the long run. We need to import, and export for the sake of keeping consumer prices down.

that might be hard in the globalized capitalist system we live in today where everyone looks for the cheapest goods and then sells to make a profit.
