Longer Answer: Yes but you can reduce the number of attachments by adding them into a zip or rar file.

You can use WinZip, WinRar or even 7-Zip to compact the attachments.

Yes, that would be correct, only if you actually want to preserve them for long, otherwise you don't have to.

Best option is to ask the person sending you the emails is to use any compression program like WinZip or WInrar and zip them up into single file.

Though besides the point but,
You can also use a POP3/IMAP based mail client (domain yahoo.co.uk) supports POP3/IMAP and download your mail to your computer directly using Outlook Express or MS OutLook or any other mail client. Email client for Lotus Notes also gives you an option of save all but then that's something you find in corporate environment only.

yes, each and every one of them
separately....
now a good advice...if you have attachment as text file for example..
cut and paste or copy and paste all of them as one unit...in a note book
then you can save as one...
...
for pictures, pdf files etc..it is a different story....each has to be dealt with separately...good luck
