Is there anyone who was not abused until after they married their abuser? What is your story?

My first marriage was to an alcoholic abuser! I was young and very naive! grew up in a very great environment and was not exposed to drinking or abuse! The abuse did not start until we said I do! Luckily I got out pretty quick !!(Thank goodness their were no children from that union) My advice is It will not get better only worse! You can not fix what is broke in them!!!!

I havent been physical really he use to hit me but it wasnt really hard it was like a tap he emotional abused me though

No but if that's the case then you may need to get out while you can. Before things get any worse
