i have to nanos and both of them wont let me chose the songs that i want to put it them if i dont want a song in my ipod i cant delete it and i have to delete from the library..what can i do?

i did uncheck the songs i didnt want on there and they still go on it

and it also wont let me uncheck the songs on the ipod its like gray and at the bottom where it shows how much room i have left theres a lock next to it

Small problem but no problem.
From what it sounds like, "Greyed out and a lock next to the GB sign" you have the iPod set to automatically update.
Click the little iPod icon on the bottom right of the iTunes screen. Select the option that says "Manually Update Songs and Playlists".
That shoul do it.

In order for a song to not transfer to your Ipod, just uncheck the box to the left of the song.
