To answer your Q:
Terrorism will be around long after you become a great grand parent. Unless we do something - anything - to stop it! Winning the war on terror means FEWER ppl killed and maimed by random acts of extreme violence, not NO ONE killed!
Strategy; I'm not informed about the same kinds of things he is, I really can't say.
Ahh.. the mind and hearts! I'll refer to a saying I recall from my days in the military; "When you have 'em by their b**ls, their hearts and minds will follow." Unfortunately, many "citizens" of this great nation will not permit any ball grabbing! It's like dropping the bomb during WW2 in Japan (which I know is an argument in itself) - but it wasn't thought of as such a bad thing by most Americans - however, we did not allow the word "F**K" to be painted on the plane! That is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable!!
As to the rest of your Q only time will tell!! I hope and pray they - terrorists, freedom fighters, holy grail seekers of truth, what ever label you want to give them - don't ever establish themselves in my town. I love my kids, I love my way of life. And I'm just as willing as they are to make the other guy die for my beliefs!

No. The strategy has only been partially successfull. The world hates us. Muslims hate us...but they did before anyway.
The only good thing I can say is that we have not had another 9/11.

The war on terror is far from being won. That is NOT Bush's fault. There are just so many Islamists terrorists out there that, unless we kill them all, they keep breeding.
