it depends on the size of the dildo/vibrator you are trying to insert.
Also, well prepared foreplay before insertion is a must. Make sure you use plenty of lubricant for sex toys because most of them are made of latex, rubber, glass, or silicone. None of them are lubricated naturally. You will have to lubricant vagina and the toy prevent potential damage to your tissues.
Proceed slowly if it is your first time, if you feel the size is unbearable, do not go any further.

That depends on the size, and shape of the object. If its well lubricated and not of exaggerated proportions it doesn't have to hurt. If it hurts, and the surface of the toy is soft, then you need to consult your Gyn to see whats Wrong.
