We recently had a benefit for breast cancer research. We went to local buisnesses and asked them for donations they gave us certificates for free pizza, coffee, meals etc..... Also a really fun thing we did was raffle our services. I made out a certificate for a free dog grooming, or someone else who does a handyman service offered a free 3 hour service. We went to a store that has party supplies and purchased raffle tickets and each basket has that particular item to be raffled off and they placed their purchased tickets in their basket of choice. Hope I helped and good luck.

Wine baskets always seem to go over well. (perhaps in a picnic basket)
Spa basket with bath items and relaxation items.
Sports basket (pick one, golf goes over well).
Home-town sports basket (i.e. wherever you're from, St. Louis Cardinals, Atlanta Braves, etc...)
Beer basket with steins.
Maybe an auto one, with jumper cabels and gas cards.
Children's basket with toys.
Poker theme (Texas Hold 'em) with cards, chips, etc..
Also, put a grand prize one with an Ipod or the like.

Use blankets/buckets as much as possible to 'wrap' items, so you don't need to always use a boring basket.

Those are just some of the ones that worked well for us in the past.

it depends on what you are raising money for and who you are going to be selling to. I have done a few fund raisers and one was for rc airplanes and I wrote and called bussinesses that advertised in the RC magazines. But if it is a good cause anyone will be willing to donate something small.

The absolute best way to turn him on is to surprise him. Make the move on him in an unusual location or setting. Break any scheduling habits you may have also. The more you talk about it, he will probably grow uncomfortable. If you play the feminist point of view...He is not going to go for it.
