While these cities are nice places to live I would recommend not living in Atlanta or Houston which was known to be the murder capital of the world. As for New York which often gets a bad rap for having rude people I found the people there far friendlier and polite than those I encountered in Chicago. Florida is a GREAT place to live. The atmosphere is generally friendly and sunny. However, the recent hurricanes were not alot of fun and the last year had a very active season. Hawaii is nice but very expensive but if that isn't a consideration then it is okay however, the use of ice is on the rise as it is in many places. Corpus Christi was a great city. Location is far enough away from the large ones but close enough should you want to visit. Good Luck!

1. Pocatello, Idaho.
2. Pocatello, Idaho.
3. Pocatello, Idaho.
Ok, defining what makes a city best may lead to disagreement, but Pocatello is a beautiful town nestled in the mountains and filled with remarkably friendly and polite people. It is growing rapidly though perhaps not nearly as fast as some places.
4. District of Columbia, while it isn't a state, does have the highest rate of crime, especially violent cime, in the nation...and that doesn't even include all the crime the government is presently committing in all of our names.

1. Rochester, Minnesota is frequently cited, but ultimately this is an individual decision.
2. Las Vegas, Nevada.
3. Tough call, but it might be New York. Wisconsin has nice people too - depends on who you ask.
4. Detroit, Michigan; Miami, Florida; and Washington D.C. all have a lot of crime. Miami used to be called the "murder capital of the USA" but that title moves around a bit. Now it might be Washington D.C. BTW: Washington D.C. is not a "state" - it has its own unique designation.
