How does a UK Charity go about getting a stamp approved for national distribution through Post offices etc?

Your question is not clear. What type of stamp are you thinking of? If it is a postage stamp, so far as I know Royal Mail has the 'last say' as to what can and cannot go on stamps. Unless your charity has some special event eg 100th anniversay, I think it unlikely you would get a special stamp.

However, if you don't try, you don't get. Try contacting Royal Mail. Be as specific as you can when making your request.

If it is some other type of stamp, please give further details.
