It was on Mother's Day and I gave my mother-in-law and grandmother-in-law their Mother's Day gifts but I then gave one to my wife making a big deal out of it (she didn't have any children at the time). Everybody was happy!

when I found out i grew to become into pregnant, i grew to become into SOOO excited to tell my mum and dad and my in-rules. they'll ALL be first time grandparents... So, I went to the greenback keep, have been given 2 rather lovable infant photograph frames and revealed out this poem and placed it interior the physique, wrapped it up and gave it to them. They enjoyed it! To My Grandparents: i've got not got a face to work out, to place interior this physique. i've got not got delicate cheeks to kiss; i don't yet have a attractiveness. you won't be in a position to hold my tiny palms, nor whisper in my ear. this is nonetheless too quickly to sing a music, or cuddle me so close to. yet all will substitute coming quickly, while they say i'm due. i'm your new grandson or granddaughter; i won't be in a position to attend until eventually finally I meet you. All I ask between now after it is your staying power whilst I advance. I promise i'm going to be rather surely worth the wait, using fact of each and every of the affection we would be responsive to. so as you're waiting patiently, please pray various prayers for me. i won't be in a position to attend to be an area of this remarkable kinfolk!

I sent them an email with a picture of the positive pregnancy test window (not the whole stick). They called me and had fun guessing what the picture was. When they realized it what it was, they were sooo excited!
When I sent the the email a second time for my second pregnancy, they figured it out a lot faster!

If you're pregnant - congratulations.Ask your family round for a meal and leave wrapped up gifts for them at the table.Could be bootees, bibs, soothers, anything small. Tell them they're returnable gifts...you want them back. I just hope they get it straight away when the "gifts" are opened ! Good luck

this is what we did. It was my mother in law's birthday, and instead of giving her a happy birthday mom, card, we gave her a happy birthday grandma, card. Eh? then we threw a vat of grease on the floor in front of her and asked if she could read the auguries and tell us the gender of the baby, like they do in the old country.
