What is the effective way to Memorize something ?

For me its repitition, but you may find something else that works better for you.

Depending on what it is a mneumonic device might work. LIke Roy G Biv for the colors of the rainbow. See if you can make a word or phrase out of the first letter(s) of whatever you have to memorize.

It has been proven that if you suck on a type of hard candy, like peppermint, butterscotch, lemon drops, while studying you will increase your ability to recall the information later. However, you will have to be able to smell or taste the same kind of candy at the time you need to recall the information.
