if you might be pregnant than don't take any meds without asking your doc. There are safe bladder meds to take when pregnant but I am not sure which ones are safe. But since it's so early you probably have more options. You wouldn't have to worry about contractions or the baby absorbing it since implantation has just barely taken place. But to be on the side of caution I would ask the doc. Good luck and sorry to hear about your 5 miscarriages.

Don't take any meds (OTC or Rx) without talking with your OB first! (I never knew I couldn't take something as simple as a mentholated cough drop when you're pregnant.) Your OB should have a list of drugs that are safe. I just had to be put on antibiotics for a root canal and my OB said most are safe - but it's always best to check first.

Also, I thought I had a bladder infection last month. After about a week it went away on it's own. My OB said it could be irritation from increased sex while ttc or it could be enlarged ovaries pressing on the bladder, due to the Clomid I have been taking to help me ovulate.

Call your OB. Since you've had them before, you know it's a simple urine test to check. In the mean time. Drinking cranberry juice is okay, but water is best.

Let the dr know that your trying to get pregnant and determine if Cipro is safe during pregnancy because in the future if your not already pregnant you will have a prescription which is safe to use regardless of pregnancy or not.
