I did go back. Numerous times. (I was younger, and inexperienced with relationships)
Anyway, all I learned is that some people want a "spare tire", so they can play the field looking for someone they actually want to date, and have a loyal boyfriend at the same time.
In all honesty I don't blame her 100% for the problem, because I ALLOWED her to take advantage of my kindness/forgiveness.
Since that experience, I would never, EVER go back with an ex, nor would I ever break up with someone unless I was absolutley sure about it.

I've had a few ask to retry things. It didn't work with either one & I got caught up in the second loser's lies all over again. He promised marriage, more kids, security, etc IN MY OWN BED no less. Once his ex-g/f started coming around again, I knew he'd lied to me all over again. It took me 3 months to disentanlge myself from his lies, his life & the future we were planning. I've cut off all ties to him, blocking him on all 3 Yahoo accounts', using the Block Email feature on all 3. I've sent him one final email from my Gmail account to his, ending things, then deleting the Gmail account (no he didn't give it to me). I also emailed myself the saved emails & chats on Gchat that we'd had. I have this id NON searchable. It's not listed in the Yahoo Members Directory, nor can the 360 page be searched for. I'm extremely careful NOT to mention his ids to anyone I speak to as well so he or his g/f can't get ahold of my new id. I changed ids to get away from them both.

I dumped a guy just to go out with someone I was curious about. He did every thing he could to get me back, and I still said no. Now I'm regretting it 10 years later.

Since I haven't been married I would not know. But I've had that happen with an ex bf. I told him F*** that! If he could get rid of us "TOOL" than maybe we would talk but not until then.

All me ex's wanted me back. I told them sure but only for the two hours it takes me to shoot my wad and then you have to leave.
But I never had an ex-wife, just a current-wife syo maybe I get your drift...

I never had an ex ask me back. After I'd beat them up for what they did to me, I don't think they'd want me back.
