I have been reading some stupid assumptions too.
Steve caught his first snake when he was only 4, working with his father.
He grew up with a father who had a passion for reptiles.
He did take calculated risks but the guy knew what he was doing.
The stingray bite was a freak accident.
Such a loss. My heart is very heavy.
Love and best wishes to his family and I pray they can find the strength to get through this.

I'm not sure what someone would mean 'by how it happen'. So all divers deserve to die? Should firemen die to because they run into burning buildings or cross walkers because they stop cars in the middle of the street? I would think not. He was a funny man and he taught us about our world in a creative fun way. Bless him.
I think you've been trolled. That is how I would define that person.

In the manner that he died, no... it was a freak accident and he apparently was not teasing the animal or attempting to scare it.
However I guess I would have been more careful in his shoes once I had a family. Once I have a family I'm going to make sure I stop any activities that could really make things bad for them. There's always a big risk with extreme activities. While I'm single I'll do what I want as long as it doesn't hurt someone else... but when I have a wife and kids I'm going to be extra careful not to harm myself.
In that regard, he may have been careless but that's his life and his wife fully knew he would keep doing what he loved.

no he didnt deserve to die he has never done anythiong wrong, he always did what he loved and it was unfortnuat that he had to get killed by something he is passionate about. He will be sadly missed by everyone espically his family. How can someone deserve to die unless they kill someone else or hurt a child someone who did nothing wrong dont deserve to die. We arent to judge. sad but true only God knows when u are going to die, it was just his time its hard but no matter what to me he is a great legend not many people could do what he did and be great at it.

No, if anybody knew how to act around wild animals, it would be Steve Irwin. Your question is very very stupid. I hope you get eaten by a crocodile, then everybody can ask the same thing about you, only the answer will be different.

Of course not. I wasn't his biggest fan.. but he enthusiasm for his work and family was a beautiful thing. He did a lot of good for the environment and for conservation. Some of his methods I did not agree with... at times it seemed he would taught the animals... but regardless he did not deserve this and anyone who thinks so is very cold hearted.
My heart goes out to his family and to his friends at Australia Zoo. Keep up the good work guys!

He didn't deserve to die, but he was playing against the odds. he took MUCH larger risks with his life than most people do, even folks in animal care. he was almost destined to die from the attack of an animal, because he was constantly handling dangerous animals. No, he did not "deserve" to die, but the risks he took made it pretty hard for him to expect to die of old age...

What do you mean deserve to die? No one had the cause for his death or made him take that option. We will all eventully die in this world (whatever be the reason), all we can do is enjoy the ride of life.
