because the metal reacts with the oxygen in th air and on your skin and so creates a metal oxide which is a differant colour to the actual metal. For example copper is an orangy colour, but copper oxide is green. This is left on your skin because the copper that has reacted with the oxygen now has no reason to be on the braclet as there are no bonds between the attoms of the copper making up tthe braclet. Hope that helped and didnt confuse you too much!

You pay for quality, cheap jewellery can be coated with a nail varnish type stuff to prevent this, (it can be clear nail varnish, but there is a product out there that is pretty much the same and is to put on things like watches to stop irritation) but you have to do it a lot! it's just an unreactive layer between the skin and jewellery.
Give it a go if you like wearing your non-precious jewellery, it does work a charm!

Sounds like your Jewellery has a high copper content, when these become moist, (via sweating) they leave a green mark, short of not wearing that jewellery and buying the medical steel stuff, there's not much you can do about it, except scrub the green stuff on.
On the Upside, copper jewellery is used to treat and prevent artritus!

your skin turns green because your skin is reacting with the type metal in the jewellery. If this happens you should return the object to place where bought .

Hydrogen peroxide will continuously turn your pores and skin white, it has a bleach in it that helps to bathe the oils, however the crimson and itchy pores and skin does not sound good. confirm you wash it off, and you will use some lotion or hydrocortozone to assist with the itching. If this does not help, truthfully touch you wellness care professional. additionally, verify the protection decal on the lower back of the bottle, it could have advice.

Its just the normal reaction of copper meeting air you can see this on the roofs of many church spires have you never noticed that many victorian churches have green roofs as our old village church did before it was demolished a few years ago when my great grandmother was alive she used to tell me it used to shine when it was new when she was a young girl! On ferrous metal this manifests its self as iron oxide [rust] most metals have some sort of reaction to the enviroment contrary to popular belief so do,s stainless steel depending on quality bet that bored you !

Try and keep your hands dry, or remove rings if washing your hands. All kinds of detergents will start a reaction to cheaper metals. ps clear nail varnish is good on things like ear-rings, as puts a protective coating on them.
