Most relationships do fail due to lack of communication and respect for the other person. So, yeah, I agree with ya.

To a degree. However, the foundation of a functional relationship is partnership. Discussing shared concerns in only one part (a very important part, of course) of a good relationship. If each party truly views the other party as a partner such discussions flow pretty naturally.

People grow, develop throughout their liftime... it is prudent to find solid common ground, something you can both/ all fall back upon..
this may take time and though you may find it rewarding it may not be for everyone...
Many friendships/ relationships are built on trust and shared interests... this is not negated by chemistry in an amourous relationship, though it can complicate matters...
Finally, there are no guarantees.. just be yourself and keep your chin up... mostly remember there are other pastures...

not quite, the failure results because of failed communication in philosophical differences from differing upbringing.

Yes that is one element...communication.
Also I think there should be respect, understanding, compromise, no conditions(...as love is meant to be unconditional) and a whole load of maturity coupled with a bit of humour,lol!..................BUT where we all gonna find that huh!

Communication is extreamly important . Selfishness is another big reason . He didn't do what I thought , or she hurt my feelings , or they don,t give me enough attention !!! on & on...
