Send her photos of you ... that was such a huge thing for me when my husband was in Afghanistan .. write her a beautiful letter telling her how much you love her, memories that you miss and the little things that you can not wait to come home to. Have a florist send her flowers, to be delivered on that day. Whatever you do make it very sentimental, its so hard being apart especially on these special days. Also when you return plan to celebrate all the moments you both have missed ..

Forgot to mention ... send her some great bath products as well for her to relax her mind .. having her husband away in a war zone can be stressful (just like it is for you).

Wow, what a great husband you are to be over in Iraq, and thinking of her!!
For me, it's flowers, I am a sucker for red roses with babies breath! Although in all the time my husband and I have been together, he's never sent me any! She's a lucky girl!
Just tell her how much you love her, it's not about how much you spend, it's about how much you care.
It's so nice to see there are guys like you still out there!
Be safe!

Oh...a day at a spa..if budget allows. Show her how much you appreciate her. I aasume she is taking care of things while you are gone. Show her that you havent forgotten what she has done for you. If budget doesnt allow, get her something small and personal to remind her of things you did when you were together, perhaps before kids, or early in the marriage. Good Luck!

God Bless You for being there. My prayers are always with all of you.

I would suggest maybe a video of yourself. singing happy birthday or telling her happy birthday. and of course what ever else you might like to say to her. If you have no children or pets, perhaps a warm fuzzy little kitten or puppy to keep her occupied while you are gone. Good Luck, and may God be with you.

My husband sent me flowers and chocolates from online with cards...i love that, plus he was able to come home for his R&R on the day of our wedding anniversary. It's really sweet you're thinking about her birthday. I hope she likes and appreciates all that you do for her and she for you. Be safe and take care.
