three quarters or
three fourths
Think of it this way...
1/4 = one quarter (or just "quarter")
2/4 = two quarters (or ONE half)
3/4 = three quarters
4/4 = four quarters (or ONE)

3/4 is "three quarters", I believe there is no special word for this number, but you can also call it "a half and a quarter" if you want. :P

if 4 is the whole cup then 3 is how much of the cup you need. Like 2 is the whole cup and you need one, that is half. Confused yet?
