wouldn't believe the hype for any of these products, diet is more likely to have an effect.

The reason oxy probably hasn't worked for the majority of people is because they haven't used it right.

The main thing is don't overload your skin. Use a light cleanser to wash and that is it, don't use scrubs etc, cos they will just aggrivate your skin. The oxy product you should purchase is Oxy On The Spot 2.5% benzoyle peroxide. Don't get anything with 5% or 10% benzoyle peroxide in as this will dry your skin out.

Do a test patch on your skin first as some people are allergic to benzoyle peroxide (BP) and cannot use it.

BP is great and effective if you use it properly. You cannot become immune to it as suggested above, and so you won't need to keep switching products.

Wash your face, dab dry and wait 10 minutes for your face to fully dry. Apply the BP to affected area, GENTLY! It should feel as if you are barely touching the skin. Apply a generous amount of BP to the area, about 1 finger full. It may take a while to rub in, but have patience!

After you have rubbed it in, apply moisturiser.

In the first few weeks of application, your skin may burn a little, flake and look red. This is just your skin adjusting to the BP and will wear off after 2-4 weeks.

BP works by feeeding oxygen to the skin, acne cannot survive in the presence of oxygen and so will die!

Oxy has been a god send in contolling my acne, and yes, it does work.

Oxy is horrendous, full of dodgy chemicals and completely dries the skin out, made mine so bad it bled, and was really painful..

I used to have acne and my dermatoligist told me you should NEVER use anything but water on your face.

I 95% live by this and I have perfectly clear skin.
the other 5% of the time I use a very mild basic facewash from boots. Tightens the pores, all good.

Yes, I've tried the oxy products but they didn't seem to help diminish the acne or pimples. I suggest using Clearasil. At least it gets the job done.

i've tried oxy 5, 10 and every product of that company.

none worked, plus it dries up your skin.

go for proactiv or tea-tree. =)

good luck!

I used them a few years ago, and found it made me much worse. Now I only use natural witch hazel with drops of tea tree oil in it.

I try not to use anything with man made chemicals in them on my face. So, I never use clearasil either.

If the smell of the witch hazel and tea tree is too much, put a few drops of either vanilla or eucalyptus oil in with the tea tree.
