It was chicken and macaroni and cheese and I was around 9 years old. I had to take care of my siblings, so I had to start cooking and cleaning at a young age.

Cooking a Thanksgiving dinner was my first meal that I cooked by myself at 17. It was so hard because all the food I had to prepared! I had no help at all but I survived :-) And eveything tasted great! Not so bad for my first home cooked meal! And everything was homemade, except the stuffing :-9 You didn't tell us what was your first meal that you cooked.

It depends what you would consider a meal.I started making my own lunches for school when I was 9.My mom kicked me out of the house when I was 14.I had to learn how to make Kraft Dinner.

When I was 5 I made Jello. That's not a meal, but I boiled the water and prepared the Jello all by myself. My parents and siblings told me that was the best Jello they ever ate. I sure was proud.
