has anyone gone to barbizone for acting ?
i want to go, im 12 years old. i want to be in it so i can audition for shows like hannah montana, suite life, etc.
how much money does it cost ?
if its a bad school anywhere else i can go that has MORE THAN 1 location ?

sweeti? I am an aspiring writer... lemme tell you that acting is not as easy as it looks! Barbizon sounds cool, but take it from me, start smaller than that and go from there.... some of the best actors/ actresses never went to an acting school! One of the best schools is the Lee Strasberg school in Ny. I don't know the exact title, but Google it ok? Go into your schools drama dept. and ask about learning to act in plays, also try looking in your local community. Ask ppl who act, in your community, how they got started, and I bet they will not mention " Barbizon." Learn from them, learn all you can OUTSIDE of a school BEFORE you enter one so you can be better prepared once you decide to enter into the entertainment industry. lemme tell you this: the entertainment industry is a cut throat industry. It is not like what you see on TV! It is not all smiles and hugs. it is hard work and they only make it look easy! That is how you can tell a good actress from a great one!! My favorites are Leo Dicaprio ( remember Titanic??) and Meryl Streep. I also love Susan Sarandon, and Russell Crowe.I hope i answered your question without crushing your dreams.

Barbizon is NOT recognized as a reputable school to learn acting.
The best thing for you to do is ask your parents to call the Theater Department of the univerisites in the city where you live, and and ask them to recommend acting teachers and acting schools.
DO NOT GO TO BARBIZON! They will charge your parents thousands of dollars and you will not learn how to act!
The cost of acting classes depend on the city where you live. In New York City and Los Angeles are expensive.

Sweetie- don't go there. Wait a bit - try to get into PPAS (professional performing arts school ) its a highschool in NYC for the performing arts. OR stay where you are and learn and act and try out for things. DON'T waste your money and talent on Barbizon. The Strasburg Institute and HB Studios have summer sessions for kids - check them out online but if you REALLY want to do it - then do it with the best and really study.
