1. Mix 1 tablespoon groundnut oil with 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice to prevent formation of blackheads and pimples. 2.Another overnight home remedy for zapping a zit is to put a dab of toothpaste on it to help dry it out. You may need to test this on a short-term basis to make sure it doesn't irritate your pimple. Calamine lotion will have the same drying effect. 3.Honey is a great remedy for pimples and acne. It kills bacteria and leaves the skin pimple free. 4.A common home remedy for pimples is toothpaste. Use the paste variety, not gel and gently apply a small drop directly on top of the blemish and let it dry. This will draw the pimple out and leave you blemish free. If left on too long, the skin may become irritated. 5.Juice of raw papaya is the best treatment for pimples. Apply fresh juice of raw papaya on pimples and get a good result. 6.Take a raw potato, peel and grate it. Put the grated into a muslin piece and tie it tightly to form a pad. Rub this pad all over the face in the firm, circular motions for about 5 minutes and then wash your face. Alternatively you could directly rub potato slices all over the face, Helps to get rid of blemishes and pimple scar. 7.Take a few pods of cloves and roast them dry in a pan. Powder them and add a little curd to make be a paste. Dab the paste on the pimples and let it dry. Wash off. Use this treatment regularly if you are prone to pimples. It is especially good for people who have an oily skin. The roasted cloves help to dry up the pimples faster. 8.A few handy tips for those who suffer from pimple 'attacks'. Drink plenty of water and vegetable or fruit juices. Use cucumber or other fruit and vegetable packs to cure pimple scars. Maintain a diet that is rich in cottage cheese, fish and yoghurt. These help to cleanse your system and ward off pimples.

I take 12-15 caps a day of pantothenic acid (vitamin b5), 500mg each. It completely eliminates the oil production and in about 2-3 days, spots will be gone. I get mine at gnc.com and I have the gold card, so each bottle of 100 is about $7, but you can get it for about $5 bottle. It's well worth it and I wish I'd found it years ago. No side effects, but you should take a good B-complex once a day because too much b5 will deplete your other b vits and could cause major fatigue. This is the best!

wash your face 2x a day - once in the AM and once right before bed. use a cleanser with salycilic acid in it, like Neutrogena acne wash. you want to use something effective but gentle, because overdrying your face with make your glands work harder to prodce oils, which will just clog your pores more. use a moisturizer that is oil-free and non-comedogenic (won't clog pores). spot treat single pimples with something like Neutrogena on-the-spot treatment. lastly, make sure you change your pillowcase every few days to avoid sleeping on the same dirt and oil and grinding it into your skin. if it's really out of hand, go see a dermatologist for a prescription topical treatment or an oral treatment, like an antibiotic that kills the bacteria that causes acne.

Hi There! I'm an Independent Consultant for Arbonne International, and I would highly recommend using our Clear Advantage Acne set! I've heard of so many people trying Pro-Active, and being disappointed because it actually irritates their skin! Our set is botanically-based but still includes the main acne fighting ingredient- Salicylic Acid. There is not alchohol in it- which is irritating to your skin. And I've seen results with my own clients. If you would be willing to take a before and after picture for me I would love to give you my 35% discount on the set. Just check out www.arbonne.com, and if you're interested, e-mail me at arbonneadvertising@yahoo.com. I hope that helps, and good luck with your search!
